Segurança toma conta dos prédios da Vila Olímpica de Pequim onde viverão os 16.000 atletas dos Jogos de 2008 e os 7.000 dos Jogos Paraolímpicos. A Vila fica no norte da cidade, a poucos quilômetros do Estádio Olímpico e tem uma superfície total de 66 hectares.
A Vila Olímpica de Pequim possui 42 edifícios (de seis e de nove andares). Todos contarão com uma clínica, restaurantes, uma biblioteca, um centro de recreação e instalações esportivas.
Os quartos dos atletas já estão prontos. O comitê organizador destaca que o lugar será um modelo de respeito à natureza, seguindo o princípio de realizar "Jogos verdes", promessa de Pequim quando apresentou sua candidatura.
