No momento em que os brasileiros invadem as quadras européias, Helen Luz é uma especialista quando o assunto é Espanha. Aos 35 anos, a armadora já passou por Zaragoza, Barcelona e Madri. Hoje defende o Cadi, da cidade de La Seu d'Urgell, ao lado da irmã Silvinha. Em entrevista pela internet ao GLOBOESPORTE.COM, ela fala sobre a experiência do outro lado do Atlântico e revela que não voltará a vestir a camisa da seleção brasileira, pela qual foi campeã mundial em 1994 e conquistou o bronze nas Olimpíadas de 2000. Helen, no entanto, estará no Pré-Olímpico, de 9 a 15 de junho, em Madri. Após ficar sem resposta da CBB quando se ofereceu para ajudar a seleção fora da quadra, ela aceitou o convite da federação espanhola para trabalhar na organização do evento.
